Erith & Belvedere kicked off a busy Bank Holiday of Premier Division with a comfortable win over Welling Town, as The Deres celebrated their 100th birthday in style.

The game at Park View Road was only 47 seconds old when the hosts took the lead, with Nathan Palmer finishing well from a Malachi Hudson cross.

Provider turned goalscorer soon after to double the scoreline before Palmer made it 3-0 with a fine lob.

Substitute Rory Ward sealed the points in the second half, with the win maintaining Erith & Belvedere’s perfect start to the league season.

A crowd of 842 took in the derby at the Culverden between the top and bottom teams in the table at the start of the day.

Form counts for nothing in these games though, and so it proved as Trevor McCreadie’s 46th minute goal was the only one of the match, giving Tunbridge Wells their first victory of this young campaign.

The only consolation for Rusthall was that results elsewhere meant that they retained their place at the top.

Like Wells, three other teams earned their points with single goal victories.

Mitchell Harman was on target for Kennington at home to Deal Town, Colby Wait got the winner for Bearsted against K Sports and Josh Reid got the only goal of the game as Lordswood beat Hollands & Blair.

It was landlords v tenants at Foxbury and that rent may now be rising as Stansfeld beat Glebe 3-1, to continue their excellent start to life at Step 5.

A Rob Hughes double was added to by Billy Parkinson and now Stansfeld sit in second place, equal on points with the team above.

It was also 3-1 in Gravesend where Punjab United moved into the top half of the table with a 3-1 win over Sutton Athletic.

Will Johnson-Cole scored the first and last of the game, an own goal made it 3 and Charlie Plummer got the consolation effort for Sutton.

The only draw of the day came at St Pauls where Fisher v Holmesdale finished 1-1.

Manny Shoderu gave the hosts a first half lead from the spot with Taylan Ali-Osman getting the equaliser early in the second half.
