From Junction 3 of M2 motorway follow signs for Walderslade and then Lordswood Leisure Centre. On arrival at the ground use the left hand car park.
LORDSWOOD – CLUB HISTORY
Founded in 1968, Lordswood FC began life playing in the Rochester & District League before becoming founder members of the Lordswood Sports & Social Club during the early 1970s. The club progressed rapidly through the local leagues, earning promotion into the Kent County League in 1981 before joining the Kent League for the 1996/97 season.
Based at Martyn Grove in the Medway Towns, Lordswood have continually developed their own ground and facilities over the years, establishing themselves as one of Kent’s long-standing senior non-league clubs.
The Lords have enjoyed many memorable moments in cup competitions, reaching the Fourth Round Proper of the FA Vase in 2012/13, finishing runners-up in the Kent Senior Trophy and reaching the semi-finals of the League Cup. Their highest-ever league finish came in 2015/16 when they ended the season in fourth place, while they have been regular entrants in both the FA Cup and FA Vase since the late 1990s.
Following several managerial changes in recent years, Richard Dimmock guided the club away from relegation danger before successive mid-table finishes. The 2024/25 campaign saw Lordswood enjoy their best-ever FA Cup run, reaching the Second Qualifying Round and hosting Sittingbourne live on the BBC in front of a record crowd of 745. However, the season ended in disappointment with relegation to the SCEFL First Division.
Under new manager Callum O’Shea, Lordswood responded positively in 2025/26, finishing fourth in the First Division before narrowly missing out on promotion after defeat to Rochester United in the play-off semi-finals. O’Shea remains in charge for the 2026/27 campaign as the club looks to secure an immediate return to the Premier Division.
