Sheppey United were convincing winners of the only Premier Division game of the night, beating Canterbury City 7-1 at Salters Lane.

Surprising, considering the end result, it was Canterbury that took the lead, when Sam Haslett scored in the 26th minute.

Their lead didn’t last long though as Malachi Hudson quickly levelled and Jack Midson then added a quickfire double before Michael Freiter’s goal made it 4-1 at the break.

In the second half, Freiter scored again and Jefferson Aibangbee netted twice late on to make it 7-1, handing Sheppey the 3 points that see them go level with Glebe at the top.
