Lydd Town remain at the top of the First Division table following today’s late win at home to AFC Whyteleafe.
The visitors led thanks to Temi Alaka’s 3rd minute opener before Jack Price levelled just after the half hour mark.
With time running out the game looked to be heading for a draw until Kenny Pogue popped up and got his sides winner with just 2 minutes left on the clock.
It was a 7th win from 9 games for Lydd and they now lead the pack by 3 points.
That pack is headed by Faversham Strike Force, who themselves were also 2-1 winners today.
Tom Barton and Tom Axford were on target as Strike Force won at Bayliss Avenue against SC Thamesmead.
3rd placed Larkfield & New Hythe were the highest scorers of the afternoon as they won 5-2 at home to Croydon.
Luke Burdon scored a hat-trick for Larkfield, moving him on to 7 goal for the league season, in just 6 games played.
Three of the matches today finished 1-0 to the home side.
Bridon Ropes won their derby game against Meridian VP by that narrow margin, FC Elmstead beat Bermondsey Town by the single goal and Luca Payne was on target as Rochester United won against Greenways.
Tooting Bec were 2-2 winners at Forest Hill Park while a last minute Brad Webb equaliser helped Snodland Town earn a point at home to Staplehurst Monarchs.
