Saturday 19th February – First Division
The bad weather conditions meant we ended with just 4 First Division games today but that gave the opportunity for som eof the sides chasing a play-off place to pick up some valuable points.
Bridon Ropes took that chance and solidified their top 5 place with a 3-1 win at Greenways.
Richard Jimoh scored a double on his return to the club while Ladic Melconian got the other. Andy Pierce got the goal for the beaten hosts.
Tooting Bec also won 3-1 and they are now looking good in third place.
It was a day for the ‘Al’s’ for Bec with Alvin Turyatemba, Alex Keating and Ali Wiltshire all finding the net at home to Staplehurst Monarchs.
SC Thamesmead made it 4 wins on the spin with Alfie Eldridge getting the only goal of the game against Forest Hill Park.
After a slow start to the season ‘The Acre’ are now in 7th position having only lost once in their past league 14 matches.
FC Elmstead and Croydon shared the points in a 2-2 draw at Lower Road.
Tayler Maddock got the opener for ‘The Trams’ before a quickfire double from the hosts meant they led 2-1 at the break.
With 10 minutes to play Aaron Reber equalised giving us our only drawn game in this Division today.
