Promotion and Relegation Picture – Premier Division
Here is a detailed look at the Promotion and Relegation picture in the SCEFL Premier Division.
PROMOTION
First-up here is a summary of the guidelines
“The team that finishes top of the League Table will automatically be promoted to the Isthmian South East Division at Step 4.”
“The team that finishes runner-up in the League Table will also be automatically promoted to the Isthmian South East Division, as long as they are in the top 10 of the 16 Step 5 runners-up ranked on Points Per Game.”
League Table
Sheppey United and Chatham Town will be promoted.
Sheppey go up as Champions with Chatham being promoted thanks to their excellent Points Per Game total.
Best of luck to both sides in the Isthmian League.
RELEGATION
First-up here is a summary of the guidelines
“The Clubs in the bottom two places in each of the sixteen divisions at Step 5 at the end of the Regular Season will be relegated and placed in a feeder pool and placed in the most geographically appropriate division of Step 6 for the following Playing Season.”
“(Added in November) – 12 Clubs finishing in the bottom two across Step 5 will now be reprieved from relegation ranked on PPG.”
League Table
What We Know
Tower Hamlets have finished bottom and will be relegated.
Lordswood finished 19th but have a Points Per Game total likely to see them repreived.
Peter Miller’s table shows the current PPG standings among all Step 5 teams in the relegation zones
Lordswood now await confirmation from the FA of their survival while we don’t currently know at which ground, or league, Tower Hamlets will be playing their football in next season.
