With others in FA Vase action we had just 3 First Division games this Saturday and they ended with the 3 points going to the 3 home teams.
FC Elmstead were desperate for a win, and got it, as they saw off Faversham Strike Force 4-0 at Lower Road.
Elmstead were 3-up at the break with Joe Plant, Kola Salami and Dekklund Wallace all scoring and they added the 4th when Salami completed his brace just before the hour mark.
The victory puts them in 14th place, 2 below today’s beaten opponents.
Tooting Bec are in the top 3 after they came out best in a 5-goal thriller with SC Thamesmead.
Ali Wiltshire got the opener from the spot for the hosts which Ed Mbango added to in the second half.
Mayowa Olufeko pulled one back but Wiltshire sealed the points late on for Tooting despite Olufeko going on to get another in the final minute.
Lewisham Borough also occupy a play-off place after they came from behind to beat Westside FC.
Tevon Webster gave the visitors the lead on 16 minutes which they kept until Ezekiel Paul levelled early in the second half.
The game was then heading for a draw until Paul got his and Lewisham’s 2nd in the final minute to earn the hosts all 3 points and a 4th spot in the table.
