At an average of over 5 goals per game the 6 First Division matches on Wednesday night produced 31 goals with 11 of the 12 sides scoring and 3 players claiming hat-tricks.

Croydon went into the evening at the top of the table, and actually still are, despite a heavy defeat away at Westside.

Marlon Pinder and Tevon Webster hit doubles for the hosts and they now occupy a play-off place.

Bridon Ropes also picked up an eye-catching victory as they ended Sutton Athletic’s 100% winning record in the League.

James Sutherland got the only goal of the first half just before the break, giving The Sutts a lead that they would fail to hold on to.

Nathan Simpson, John Woodcock, Josh Falola and Adam Cooke all netted for the Ropes in a thrilling second 45 and with the 4-2 victory they now sit in 3rd.

Tooting Bec were 3-1 winners at Forest Hill Park, giving them back-to-back victories and 6th place in the table.

Michel Gbaya hit a fine free-kick to give ‘Forest’ the lead but Ali Wiltshire scored twice and Ed Mbango got the other to complete the comeback and give ‘Bec’ all 3 points.

There were 3 hat-tricks on the night.

Luke Baptiste claimed a match ball in a 4-0 win for Faversham Strike Force against Kent Football United.

Lewis Wood got his as Rochester United won 4-1 at Lydd Town.

Simon Walton scored a trio as Greenways ended a losing run when winning 3-2 at Snodland Town.
