PREMIER DIVISION

Rusthall 2-1 Fisher

Tunbridge Wells 0-2 Hollands & Blair

Play-off hopefuls Rusthall and Hollands & Blair both strengthened their claims with important victories on Tuesday night in the Premier Division.

Rusthall produced a dramatic late turnaround to end Fisher’s long unbeaten run and climb back into the play-off places. The visitors looked set to continue their excellent form when Armani-Jordan Martin converted a penalty early in the second half to give Fisher the lead on 53 minutes. However, the game swung in the closing stages as Robbie Bissett levelled from the spot in the 87th minute before Thompson Adeyemi struck deep into stoppage time to seal a 2-1 win for the Rustics. Despite the defeat, Fisher remain second in the table.

Hollands & Blair continued their remarkable surge up the table with a 2-0 win away at Tunbridge Wells. Early goals from Kane Rowland on 11 minutes and Luke Exall on 29 minutes put Blair firmly in control and they saw the game out to record a fifth consecutive victory. The result lifts them to a season-high seventh place and keeps them firmly in the play-off hunt. For Tunbridge Wells, it was their first home league match in five months, but they remain down in 15th place after the defeat.
