We had 39 First Division goals today and wins for AFC Whyteleafe, Larkfield & New Hythe, FC Elmstead, Canterbury City, Staplehurst Monarchs, Croydon and Tooting Bec.

AFC Whyteleafe remain at the top of the table and even extended their advantage following their 6-1 win at Faversham Strike Force. Max Morgan scored twice on debut, Helge Orome added 2 more plus Temi Alaka and Gaspar Mico netted as Leafe now lead the chasing pack by 9 points.

AFC Whyteleafe were not the top scorers today though, that honour went to Larkfield & New Hythe, who shipped 9 (nine) past basement boys Greenways. There were doubles for Matt Day, Josh Jackson and Ryan Khanye while Tyrell Richardson-Brown, Jack Sammoutis and Jerome Wade also found the net for the 5th placed Larks.

There were 2-1 wins for promotion hopefuls Staplehurst Monarchs and Croydon. Monarchs are up to 2nd, with Jack Bray’s goal the difference at Forest Hill Park while a late Ryan Palmer winner earned the Trams an impressive 3 points at Rochester United.

Strom Glautier, Alvin Turytemba and Mark Soares scored as Tooting Bec beat Lewisham Borough 3-1 and Mo Cham claimed a hat-trick for Canterbury City in a 3-2 home win over Meridian VP.

FC Elmstead continued their push towards the play-offs with a 2-0 victory at Bridon Ropes. Current Golden Boot holder Kanan Fitton got the first, with Kameiko Pope-Campbell sealing the game late on.

Sheppey United  K Sports were on target for a win at Bayliss Avenue until a late SC Thamesmead recovery saw the points shared in a 3-3 draw. Jordan Eels had given the hosts an early lead before goals from Dan Bradshaw, Simon Gyzmaha and D’Jean Spencer had put the visitors 3-1 in front with 20 minutes to play. Alfie Kitt continued his own fine form with the first reply before Jake Parrott levelled the game, the only draw in the SCEFL today.
