Dimmock in as new Lordswood boss

Lordswood have today announced that Richard Dimmock will be the man to replace the recently departed Neil Hunter as their First Team Manager.

Dimmock first joined Lordswood as a player during the 2009/10 season when Jason Lillis took him to the club. He can also count Welling United, Cray Wanderers and Erith & Belvedere as former Clubs during a impressive playing career.

As manager, Dimmock is no stranger to the SCEFL having had spells at Meridian VP and a successful stint with Welling Town which saw them swiftly elevated from Kent County Division 3 to our Division One.

He joins from Halls AFC and will be joined by his coaching team, in the form of Mike Jones and Jason Long. Long is another who is no stranger to the club, having also played under Lillis for a couple of seasons a decade ago.

With the Bank Holiday Monday fixture against Hollands & Blair postponed due to Covid, Dimmock’s first game in charge is set to be away to Tunbridge Wells on Monday 3rd January where he will go head to head with ex-Lordswood teammate and manager Richard Styles.

The new boss will be tasked with steering Lordswood away from the dangers of the foot of the Premier Division table as the Club are currently in a perilous 19th position.
