Adam Griffin Resigns as Beckenham Town Manager

Beckenham Town are searching for a new manager after Adam Griffin announced his resignation following a disappointing start to the 2026/27 season.

Griffin’s departure comes just a day after Beckenham suffered a heavy 5-1 home defeat to Petts Wood & Holmesdale, leaving the club 17th in the SCEFL Premier Division with just eight points from 11 league matches.

Having suffered relegation from the Isthmian League last season, Beckenham appointed Griffin in the hope of making a swift return to Step 4 football.

His tenure began promisingly, with victories in his opening three matches, but results have since taken a dramatic downturn. The Eden Park Avenue side are now without a win in eight matches, losing their last seven.

Griffin confirmed his decision on X, stating:

“After much consideration I have decided to resign. I would like to thank all the players for their efforts and wish the club the best for the future.”

In total, Griffin took charge of 15 matches, winning four, drawing two and losing nine.

Beckenham are back in the SCEFL Premier Division for the first time in four seasons, having suffered the first relegation in the club’s history following their spell in the Isthmian League.

With just two league victories so far this season and 26 goals conceded in 11 matches, the club now faces the task of appointing a new manager to turn around its fortunes.
