Punjab United 1-0 Stansfeld

Snodland Town 0-2 Rusthall

Tuesday night did exactly what it promised — it shook up the play-off picture and left everything delicately poised heading into the final games.

Punjab United got the job done, edging past Stansfeld with a 1-0 win thanks to Roman Campbell’s second-half strike (74’). It wasn’t flashy, but it didn’t need to be. Three points is all that matters at this stage, and that result lifts Punjab into the play-off places. Stansfeld, as they have done in recent weeks, made it difficult, but ultimately fell just short.

Rusthall, though, were the big winners of the night. A confident 2-0 victory at Snodland Town sees them climb into third and put one foot firmly in the play-offs. Jack Kirby opened the scoring just before the break (39’), and Charlie Clover made sure early in the second half (48’). It’s another strong, controlled performance from a side hitting form at exactly the right time.

So, as it stands, Rusthall sit third and in a commanding position, while Punjab United now occupy fifth — right on the edge, with no margin for error.

One round to go, and it’s still not settled. Exactly how a play-off race should be.
