By Road from London and the West…
1. Approach East Kent on the M2
2. Continue to end of the motorway at Faversham
3. Proceed onto the A299 Thanet Way (signed Margate / Ramsgate)
4. Continue on to the A299 for aprprox. 6 miles (passing Seasalter
marshes on your left)
5. Take the exit to Whitstable A2990 (old Thanet Way)
6. Proceed to the third roundabout (Tesco’s on the right)
7. Take the first exit down Millstrood Hill,
8. After passing the cemetery on the right take the first left into
Grimshill Road, the entrance to our car park is approx. 200 yards on

Faversham Strike Force History
Founded in 1999 by Gary Axford, Faversham Strike Force has grown from a single youth team into one of Kent’s largest and most respected community football clubs. The club was recognised nationally in 2007 when it was named FA Charter Standard Community Club of the Year, with representatives collecting the award at Wembley Stadium.
Over the years, Strike Force has developed a clear pathway for players of all ages, expanding to include boys’, girls’, women’s and senior teams, supported by a dedicated team of qualified coaches and volunteers. The club’s facilities at King George’s Playing Field include its own clubhouse and 3G pitch, providing an excellent environment for player development.
Senior football arrived in 2012 with the formation of a Sunday side, before the club took another major step by joining the Kent County League in 2013. The first team immediately impressed, finishing runners-up in their inaugural season while also receiving the League Fair Play Award.
Promotion to the Southern Counties East Football League followed in 2021, with Strike Force quickly establishing themselves as promotion contenders. A fourth-place finish in 2022/23 was followed by a play-off appearance before the club achieved its greatest success to date by winning the SCEFL First Division title in 2024/25 to earn promotion to the Premier Division.
The club adapted well to life at Step 5, finishing 13th in its first Premier Division campaign during 2025/26. With a thriving youth structure continuing to produce talented players and a clear long-term vision, Faversham Strike Force looks well placed to continue its impressive rise through the football pyramid.
