With the FA Vase dominating Saturday’s SCEFL programme, there were just two Premier Division fixtures – but they produced a change at the top of the table as Fisher moved into first place.

Fisher 4-3 Faversham Strike Force

Fisher came out on top in a seven-goal contest against Faversham Strike Force to climb to the Premier Division summit.

The visitors made the perfect start when Josh Oliver scored after just two minutes, but Fisher turned the game around before the interval.

Temi Alaka levelled in the 24th minute before James Bessey-Saldanha put Fisher ahead on 35 minutes. Faversham responded in first-half stoppage time, with Oliver Gray making it 2-2 in the 46th minute.

Fisher regained the advantage through Festos Kamara in the 56th minute, only for Strike Force to hit back again when Mefose Esumobi equalised on 66 minutes.

The decisive moment arrived in stoppage time. With the game heading towards a draw, Tyrese Briscoe struck in the 91st minute to give Fisher a dramatic 4-3 victory.

It is a second successive late win for Fisher following Festos Kamara’s stoppage-time winner at Sutton Athletic last weekend.

The three points take Fisher onto 11 points from six games and, for now at least, to the top of the Premier Division.

Tunbridge Wells 1-1 Snodland Town

Snodland Town also had the opportunity to take top spot but had to settle for a point at Tunbridge Wells.

Hayden Marshall gave Wells the lead in first-half stoppage time, finding the net in the 48th minute to send the hosts into the break ahead.

Snodland responded seven minutes after the restart through Harry Hudson, whose 52nd-minute goal brought the visitors level.

Tunbridge Wells were reduced to ten men with 15 minutes remaining when Thomas Penfold was sent off, but they held on to secure a point.

The draw takes Snodland onto 11 points from six matches, level with Fisher, who lead the table on goal difference.

Fisher Take Over at the Top

Fisher end Saturday at the summit with 11 points and a +5 goal difference, ahead of Snodland on +3.

AFC Greenwich Borough drop to third but remain very well placed, sitting just a point behind the leading pair having played only four league games. Faversham remain fourth on 10 points following today’s defeat.

With Bearsted and Hollands & Blair both on nine points and several clubs having games in hand due to cup commitments, the early Premier Division table remains tightly packed.

For Fisher, though, a second successive stoppage-time winner means Saturday night will be spent at the top of the SCEFL Premier Division.
