Chislehurst Glebe Named London Football Club of the Year
Chislehurst Glebe have received a major honour after being named Club of the Year at the 2026 London Football Grassroots Awards.
The Foxes collected the award at a special ceremony held at the historic Guildhall in the City of London on Monday evening, recognising the contribution made by the club, its volunteers, coaches, players and supporters to grassroots football.
This year’s London Football Grassroots Awards attracted 250 nominations across 12 categories, bringing together clubs, leagues, coaches, referees and volunteers from across the capital.
To be selected as Club of the Year from such a wide field is a fantastic achievement for Chislehurst Glebe and recognition of the work taking place throughout the club.
A Club Built on Its People
Chislehurst Glebe have grown considerably during their 31-year history, with volunteers playing a major part in developing the club into the community-focused organisation it is today.
Alongside the senior teams, a huge amount of work takes place throughout the club to provide opportunities to play football, develop players and teams and create a positive environment for people to enjoy the game.
Paul Bickerton, CEO of London FA, praised the dedication shown by those recognised at this year’s awards.
“The stories we’ve celebrated through this year’s Grassroots Awards are a true reflection of dedication, resilience, and passion for the game.
“Each winner and highly commended embodies the spirit of our football community, from volunteers and coaches to players and clubs, whose tireless efforts make the game thrive at every level.”
Rocky McMillan of Chislehurst Glebe spoke of his pride at seeing the club receive the award.
“To be named Club of the Year is an incredibly proud moment for everyone associated with Chislehurst Glebe FC. This recognition belongs to the players, coaches, volunteers, parents, supporters and partners who give so much to the club and make it what it is today.
“Our ambition has always been for Chislehurst Glebe FC to be more than just a football club. We want to create opportunities, develop players and provide a positive environment where people can enjoy football and feel part of something.
“To receive this recognition from London FA means a great deal to all of us. We are enormously proud of what the Foxes have achieved together and excited about what comes next.”

Double Recognition for the Foxes
There was further recognition for Chislehurst Glebe on the night, with Rocky McMillan named Highly Commended in the Bobby Moore Award category.
The individual honour added to a memorable evening for the club and highlighted the contribution being made both collectively and by those working behind the scenes.
The two honours – Chislehurst Glebe FC, Club of the Year, and Rocky McMillan, Highly Commended for the Bobby Moore Award – represent significant recognition for one of our SCEFL clubs on the wider London football stage.
Everyone at the Southern Counties East Football League congratulates Chislehurst Glebe, Rocky and all of the club’s players, coaches, volunteers and supporters on a thoroughly deserved achievement.
Well done, Glebe!
