Saturday’s Premier Division programme was largely washed away by relentless rain, with just two fixtures surviving the conditions. Unsurprisingly, both matches took place on 3G surfaces — and both ended with the same scoreline.

Hollands & Blair continued their impressive rise up the table with a huge win over promotion-chasing Rusthall, denting the visitors’ ambitions in the process.

Kane Rowland opened the scoring on 33 minutes before Robbie Bissett levelled from the penalty spot shortly after the break. But it was Blair who had the final say, Ibrahim Akanbi striking late on (83’) to seal another eye-catching victory.

The result lifts Hollands & Blair to a season-high ninth place, while Rusthall remain third but miss an opportunity to strengthen their position in the Play-Off race.

It was a perfect beginning for Gary Alexander in the Erith & Belvedere dugout as his side claimed all three points at Kennington.

Matthias Broomes put the Deres ahead midway through the first half but Kennington levelled when Rajan Sahni scored in the final minute. The Deres were not to be denied though and there was just enough time for Tom Borders to secure a morale-boosting win.

The victory moves Erith & Belvedere up to eighth place, just a few of points off the Play-Off positions.
