We’re into the final straight now — just a couple of weeks to go, and while the title and relegation spots are already wrapped up, the fight for the play-offs is where all the drama lives.

Fisher have been sitting pretty in second for a while, and now it’s about finishing the job properly. A win at home to Snodland Town would go a long way towards securing not just a play-off place, but that all-important home advantage. Snodland, meanwhile, are playing for pride after falling out of contention — which can sometimes make them awkward opponents with nothing to lose.

Bearsted will expect to strengthen their grip on third when they travel to already-relegated Stansfeld. On paper, it’s straightforward. In reality, these are the games where complacency can creep in — and Bearsted can’t afford any slip-ups with others chasing.

Larkfield & New Hythe have a big one at home to Tunbridge Wells. The hosts know a win keeps them firmly in control of their top-five destiny, while Wells are hovering on the edge of “what might have been” territory. If they’re going to stay alive, they probably need to win — simple as that.

Rusthall could be the real danger side right now. Games in hand and momentum make them a serious threat, and a trip to Chislehurst Glebe is an opportunity they’ll expect to take. Win that, and suddenly they’re in a very strong position compared to those around them.

Then there’s Phoenix Sports — arguably the form team in the division. Six wins from seven tells you everything. But the equation is still brutal: keep winning or miss out. A trip to Faversham Strike Force won’t be easy, even with the hosts now safe, and Phoenix simply can’t afford to ease off.

Hollands & Blair are another side still right in the mix, and they’ll see a home game against Kennington as a must-win. Drop points here, and it might be too much to recover in the final two games.

Punjab United are also clinging on and host Erith & Belvedere knowing exactly what’s required. It’s win, then worry about the rest later — anything else and their hopes start fading fast.

Sutton Athletic probably have the toughest task of all: win all three remaining games and hope it’s enough. It starts with a trip to relegated Hythe Town, who, despite their position, showed enough fight on Monday to suggest they won’t just roll over.

And finally, the one game with nothing riding on it — at least in terms of league positions — sees Champions Whitstable Town travel to Holmesdale. That said, Whitstable won’t want to drift through the final weeks, and Holmesdale would love nothing more than taking a scalp off the champions.

The play-off picture is crowded, tense, and ready to shift again. By Saturday evening, a few dreams will be hanging by a thread — and a few others might suddenly look very real.
