With two games to go, the Premier Division is shedding its contenders — and after today, the play-off race looks a lot tighter but a little clearer.

Fisher took another big step towards securing second place with a 4-1 win over Snodland Town. Sam Wood had given the visitors the lead (30’), but that only seemed to wake Fisher up. Festos Kamara struck twice (45+2’, 61’), with Armani-Jordan Martin converting from the spot (54’) and Jake Lovell adding gloss late on (90+3’). Snodland, now on a four-game losing run, have well and truly dropped out of contention.

Larkfield & New Hythe continue to hold firm in the top five after a 2-1 win over Tunbridge Wells. Jack Sammoutis (28’) and Kesna Clarke (49’) did the damage before Rory Ward pulled one back from the spot (64’). For Wells, that’s the final nail in their play-off hopes.

Rusthall kept their momentum going with a 2-1 win at Chislehurst Glebe. Nathan Mampono had put the hosts ahead early (14’), but Charlie Clover (22’) and Yassin Fares (46’) turned it around. With games in hand and form on their side, Rusthall are shaping up as a serious threat in the run-in.

Hollands & Blair remain right in the mix after a comfortable 3-0 win over Kennington. Luke Exall struck early (3’), Mo Cham added another just before the break (45+2’), and Emmanuel Oluwasemo sealed it (68’) in a professional performance that keeps the pressure on those above.

Punjab United are still clinging on as well, beating Erith & Belvedere 3-0. Jack Hopkins (55’), Harry Ottaway (79’) and Chris Edwards (90+4’) got the goals, but with other results going the same way, they need to win those games in hand.

At the other end of the chasing pack, it looks like the door has slammed shut for Phoenix Sports. Despite a late rally through Theophilus Lukyamuzi (89’) and Lyle Della-Verde (90+5’), they fell 3-2 at Faversham Strike Force, who had already built their lead through Hayden Wood (9’), Essa Jadama (49’) and Josh Oliver (66’). A tough one to take — and likely the end of the Phoenix push.

Sutton Athletic did everything asked of them with a 4-0 win at Hythe Town — Ashdon Day (21’), Ollie Milton (50’), Harry Britten (53’) and James Heasman (87’) all on target — but like Phoenix, results elsewhere mean it’s probably too little, too late.

Bearsted missed the chance to really lock in third as they were held to a 2-2 draw at already-relegated Stansfeld. Nana Kufour’s quickfire double (13’, 28’) stunned the visitors before Danny Keyte (37’) and Jake Embery (45+2’) brought Bearsted back level. A point keeps them ticking, but it could have been more.

And at the top, Champions Whitstable Town continued to show why they’ve run away with it, cruising to a 4-0 win at Holmesdale. Bradley Schafer opened from the spot (14’), before Malachai Belboda (30’), Tyler Hatton (45+3’) and Jack Peters (56’) completed another dominant display.

So, Fisher edge closer to second, Larkfield and Rusthall strengthen their hands, and Hollands & Blair keep themselves firmly in the fight. But for Phoenix and likely Sutton, the dream is over.

Two games left. Fewer teams in the race. And absolutely no room left for mistakes.
