Chislehurst Glebe extend Frankie Sawyer stay as First Team Manager
Chislehurst Glebe have rewarded Frankie Sawyer’s strong start to life as their First Team Manager by extending his spell until at least the end of next season.
Sawyer stepped into the role earlier this month and made an immediate impact, guiding Glebe to back-to-back victories — a 2-1 win against Corinthian followed by a composed 2-0 success at Hythe Town. Two games, six points, job done.
Following that perfect return, the club have moved quickly to secure stability, confirming Sawyer will remain in charge for the rest of the current season and through the 2026/27 campaign.
In announcing the decision, the club said the appointment brings the stability they have been seeking as they continue their push to secure league status and begin building towards next season.
Sawyer himself was delighted to be confirmed in the role, commenting that he is looking forward to building on the foundations already put in place, finishing the current campaign as strongly as possible, regrouping over the summer and kicking on into 2026/27.
With early results already backing up the decision, Glebe will be hoping the momentum continues under Sawyer as the season reaches its decisive stages.
