FIRST DIVISION

Halls AFC 0-3 Lordswood

Lewisham Borough 1-2 Croydon

Two big away wins in the First Division last night – and the play-off picture is starting to look a little clearer.

Lordswood strengthened their grip on fourth place with a clinical 3-0 win at Halls AFC. Timmy Babington opened the scoring from the spot on 17 minutes, settling any early nerves, before Harvey Welford doubled the lead after the break. Shaquon Williams wrapped it up deep into stoppage time to complete a professional evening’s work on the road.

Over at Lewisham, Croydon kept hold of fifth spot with a hard-fought 2-1 victory against Lewisham Borough. Pat Ward struck early to give the visitors the lead, but Bronum Reynolds hit back for the hosts to level things up. Kieran Rufus restored Croydon’s advantage just after half-time, and they saw it out to move five points clear of the chasing pack.

Two away days, six points collected, and the play-off hopefuls doing exactly what they needed to do. No drama, just business handled.
