Bearsted edged a five-goal thriller at Sutton Athletic to take a big step towards the play-offs with a 3-2 victory.

The visitors made a blistering start, with Sam Stace striking twice inside the first half either side of Ollie Farmer’s early red card, before Jack Palmby added a third just before the break to put Bearsted firmly in control.

Sutton showed real fight after the interval, pulling one back through Omotunmise Akanni from the spot and setting up a nervy finish when Ryan Mahal struck deep into stoppage time—but Bearsted held on to secure a huge three points and climb into third.
