“We are delighted to announce the appointment of Scott Penfold as our new Assistant Manager.”
“We are delighted to announce that Aaron “Azza” Gray has joined us as our new First Team Coach.”
“Jez Hammond named Sports Skipper!
We are delighted to have retained Jez for the 2024/25 Season and have named him as the new Club Captain.”
“Dan Tidnam Signs for Sports!
Tids comes highly recommended and had a very impressive debut against Lordswood FC on Monday. His capability of either playing Centre Half or Central Midfield is a real asset and he’s the sort of lad you would want in the trenches with you.”
“Latunde joins from Monarchs!
David Latunde has signed for The Sports ahead of the 2024/25 Season. A local lad who’s a familiar face to the local scene will no doubt settle in right away having already played with a number of players elsewhere. David has previously been at Rochester United FC & Staplehurst Monarchs FC.”
“Another year for Avery! Defender Harrison Avery has signed for Sheppey Sports FC again ahead of the new season. H came in halfway through last season after a successful spell at Lydd Town FC who we host at Holm Park on Tuesday Night. At just 21 years old he had made 56 appearances for Lydd including 31 in their play off winning campaign in 22/23.”
“Alf commits for another year! Last seasons Top Goalscorer Alfie Bates has resigned with Sheppey Sports FC for the 2024/25 Season. The Former Dover Athletic, Sheppey United, Lordswood & Holmsdale attacker can play in a wide variety of positions which is a huge asset to the side.”
“We are delighted to confirm the signing of Bailey Catherick!
Bailey who has come through the youth sides at Sheppey United FC and graduated into the first team last season before a loan spell at Lordswood FC at the back end of last year.”
“Joe Ganiwa has resigned for the 2024/25 Season! The Versatile Right sided player who’s knocked up 48 appearances over the last two seasons has been a great asset to the side. Predominantly a winger in his time with us, Joe has shown versatility by being able to cover at full back and did so in a move to Sheppey United FC halfway through last season.”
