TRAVELLING BY RAIL
It is advised that if you are travelling to Chipstead FC by train that you travel to Coulsdon South where there is a cab office and you can get a cab to the ground and book a return journey.

TRAVELLING BY BUS
The nearest stop for the 405 bus is Star Lane, Hooley. On foot up Star Lane, keeping right on sight of St. Margaret’s Church; right again up Elmore Road to reach the Pond, turn left, the club is 200 yards down on the right (about a 20 minute walk)

TRAVELLING BY ROAD
From M23/M25
Leave the M25 at junction 7 and take M23 northbound signposted Croydon. After 2 miles the M23 ends and becomes the A23. After about 1 mile at the first set at traffic lights adjacent to a BP garage turn left into Star Lane. Follow Star Lane into Elmore Road, keeping the church and the green on your left until reaching the crossroads with High Road. Turn left (signposted Lower Kingswood & Reigate) and parking for away supporters is 200 yards on your left. To walk to the ground leave via the car park entrance turn left and the clubhouse and turnstiles are a further 200 yards along the main road.

From Purley/Croydon
Leave Purley by the A23 southbound past Tesco’s on your left. Follow A23 towards Coulsdon and take the Coulsdon bypass signposted M23 and Gatwick. At the second set of lights after leaving the by bypass turn right into Star Lane – there is a BP garage on the corner. Follow Star Lane into Elmore Road, keeping the church and the green on your left until reaching the crossroads with High Road. Turn left (signposted Lower Kingswood & Reigate) and parking for away supporters is 200 yards on your left. To walk to the ground leave via the car park entrance turn left and the clubhouse and turnstiles are a further 200 yards along the main road.


Tooting Bec History

The club was established in 2004 and joined the Junior Division Two of the Surrey South Eastern Combination. A fourth-place finish in their first season saw the club promotion to Junior Division One. The following season the club were Junior Division One runners-up, earning promotion to Intermediate Division Two. They finished third in the division in 2007–08, earning promotion to Division One. They went on to win Division One and the League Shield in 2009–10, after which the club joined the Surrey Elite Intermediate League. In 2016–17 they were Surrey Elite Intermediate League runners-up.

The 2017–18 season saw Tooting Bec win the Surrey Elite Intermediate League, earning promotion to Division One of the Combined Counties League. At the end of the 2020–21 season the club were transferred to Division One of the Southern Counties East League where in the 2022/23 season we were losing play-off finalists.

The club played at Fishponds Lane in Tooting during their first season, before moving to Prince Georges Playing Fields in Raynes Park. They later relocated to Tooting & Mitcham’s Imperial Fields ground and more recently took up a groundshare with Chipstead FC.
