Rochester Utilities Stadium, Rede Court Road, Strood Kent ME2-3TU

At junction A2/M2 from London, stay on A2 signed Strood/Rochester. Follow until traffic lights, take left fork, ground on the left hand side, opposite Co-Op garage. M2 from coast, take A228 Strood/Rochester, follow until mini-roundabout, railway bridge on right hand side. Carry straight on into Northgate Road, at end, turn left. Follow road through first set of lights, at second set, keep to the right and take turning into Rede Court Road, ground located on your left hand side, opposite Co-op garage.

Greenways Football Club – A Brief History

Founded in 1965 as NALGO FC, the club began life in Division Four of the Gravesend Football League and enjoyed immediate success, earning four promotions in their first four seasons. Renamed Greenways FC in 1967, the club quickly established itself as one of the strongest sides in local football.

Between 1974 and 1988, Greenways won the Gravesend Premier Division on seven occasions and collected numerous cup honours, including three Kent Junior Cups. One of the club’s greatest achievements came during the 1986/87 season when, alongside a league and cup treble, Greenways lifted the Kent Intermediate Challenge Shield and enjoyed a memorable run in the Kent Senior Trophy against higher-ranked opposition.

The club joined the Kent County League Premier Division in 1988 and immediately made its mark by winning both the league title and the Inter-Regional Challenge Cup in its inaugural season. Further silverware followed over the years, including another Kent Intermediate Challenge Shield in 2012/13 and a second Inter-Regional Challenge Cup success in 2016/17.

Back-to-back runners-up finishes in the Kent County League Premier Division earned Greenways promotion to the Southern Counties East Football League in 2018. The club adapted well to Step 6, recording a top-half finish in its debut campaign before navigating the disruption caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

After finishing bottom of the First Division in 2023/24 but receiving a reprieve from relegation, Greenways responded positively under Andy Pierce, improving to 16th before an impressive sixth-place finish in 2025/26.

A new chapter begins in 2026/27 with former club captain Jack Clark taking over as First Team Manager. Having played a key role on the pitch for many years, Clark now leads the Greens as they look to build on last season’s progress and challenge for the First Division play-off places.
