SCEFL AGM – 10th June 2024

 

The SCEFL AGM took place on Monday 10th June 2024 at Lordswood Sports and Social club.

Here is a summary of events;

  • Minutes were confirmed from the AGM’s held on Saturday 17th June 2023 and 19th July 2023.
  • Premier Division Constitution was confirmed for season 2024/25 without change – Bearsted, Corinthian, Erith and Belvedere, Faversham Town, Fisher, Glebe, Hollands & Blair, Holmesdale, Kennington, Larkfield & New Hythe , Lordswood AFC, Lydd Town, Punjab United, Rusthall, Snodland Town, Stansfeld, Sutton Athletic, Tunbridge Wells, VCD Athletic, Whitstable Town.
  • First Division Constitution was agreed but has appeals pending, with results expected from the FA within a week – Bridon Ropes, Canterbury City, Clapton (or Greenways), Clapton Community, Croydon, Faversham Strike Force, FC Elmstead, Forest Hill Park, Halls AFC, Lewisham Borough (Community), Meridian VP, Rochester United, Sheppey Sports, Soul Tower Hamlets, Sporting Club Thamesmead, Staplehurst Monarchs, Tooting Bec, Welling Town.
  • A vote was held on the format of the Development League and as a result we will have two Divisions for the 2024/25 season.
  • Development League West Constitution: Corinthian, Cray Wanderers, Croydon, Erith & Belvedere, Erith Town, Glebe, Holmesdale, Kent United, Punjab Utd, Rusthall, SC Thamesmead, Stansfeld, Sutton Athletic, Tunbridge Wells.
  • Development League East Constitution: Ashford United, Bearsted, Chatham Town, Deal Town, Faversham Town, Herne Bay, Hollands & Blair, Larkfield & New Hythe, Lordswood AFC, Lydd Town, Maidstone United, Margate, Sheppey United, Snodland Town, Staplehurst Monarchs, Whitstable Town.
  • The Finance Report was  received and approved.
  • Changes were made to ‘The Southern Counties East Football League Limited’ – Promoted and relegated clubs have been removed and new clubs entered.
  • Election of Board of Directors and Officers was voted on and Presidents agreed.
  • There was an Acceptance of  the 2024-2025 Standardised Rules and 2024-2025 Standard Code of Rules.
  • Confirmation of the Rules for the Challenge Cup 2024-2025 (Now a one-legged semi-final and extra-time in final)
  • Confirmation of the Rules for the Division One Cup (Now a knockout competition plus a one-legged semi-final and extra-time in final)
  • Election of Reporting Accountant – A4G

 

 

Any Other Business

The League have agreed a multi-season deal with a new sponsor! We heard from them at the meeting and will release a statement and further details regarding this relationship on Thursday 13th June.

The Groundhop will take place in early October 2024 with featured games announced on Fixture Release Day.

The League are in talks with Football Web Pages to use their full services for the 2024/25 season and beyond. More details next week!

The League reminded clubs of their matchday hospitality responsibilities.

Golden Boot Trophies were awarded to Stefan Payne and Matt Day.

League mementoes given to Division winners Deal Town and AFC Whyteleafe.

All Premier and First Division Clubs left with new footballs and bibs.

Stefan Payne received his Golden Boot from League Chair Denise Richmond. Adam Handy collected Matt Day’s for him.
