The recent rain did its best, but the Premier Division got a full programme on and served up plenty of talking points across the table.

The headline game came at the foot of the standings, where Hythe Town hosted fellow strugglers Chislehurst Glebe in a huge relegation six-pointer. Glebe wasted no time, Jamie Philpot striking after just four minutes before Nathan Mampono doubled the lead early in the second half. A massive 2-0 win lifts Glebe further clear of danger and leaves Hythe still searching for answers.

Despite defeat, Hythe were spared the ignominy of staying bottom thanks to Stansfeld’s heavy loss at Phoenix Sports. Glen Bain gave Stansfeld an early lead at Mayplace, but that only seemed to wake Phoenix up. An own goal levelled things before strikes from Paul Lee, Lyle Della-Verde and Ahkeem Belford completed a thumping 4-1 turnaround. Phoenix climb to 11th and keep their play-off hopes alive, while Stansfeld slip to the foot of the table.

There was a big away win for Kennington, who eased to a 3-0 victory at Corinthian. Kimsley Gatakata opened the scoring early on before Ryan Philpott struck twice late to put the result beyond doubt. The Hoops remain uncomfortably close to the bottom, while Ton move up to 12th and breathe a little easier.

In Whitstable, Faversham Strike Force showed some fight to come from behind and draw 2-2 with Snodland Town. Emmanuel Shoderu and Dan Vaughan had given Snodland an early cushion, but Harry Taylor responded in style with two second-half goals to rescue a point. Faversham stop a five-game losing run, though it’s now seven without a win.

It finished 2-2 as well at Lower Road, where Sutton Athletic and Larkfield & New Hythe shared the spoils in a high-quality contest. Tyler Ibe struck twice in the first half to put Larkfield in control, but Sutton responded through Namory Kane and a late Enoch Muwonge equaliser. Larkfield remain second, Sutton stay fifth, and neither will feel hard done by.

Another 2-2 draw came at Otham as Bearsted and Tunbridge Wells cancelled each other out. James Bessey put the Bears ahead before Deshon Carty and Muiz Alaka turned it around for Wells. Billy Lewins popped up with a stoppage-time leveller to earn Bearsted a point that keeps them fourth.

Finally, Erith & Belvedere picked up a big 2-0 win over Hollands & Blair to move up to eighth. Second-half goals from Danny Lear and Connor French did the damage, keeping the Deres firmly in the play-off conversation while Blair’s recent wobble continues.

Goals, comebacks, relegation drama and a table that refuses to behave — the Premier Division, exactly as advertised.
