Petts Wood & Holmesdale 1-0 Erith & Belvedere
There were 26 goals across seven games on a busy Tuesday night in the SCEFL Premier Division, with Tunbridge Wells and Fisher both hitting six.
Tunbridge Wells produced the biggest victory of the night as they swept aside Chislehurst Glebe 6-0 at the Culverden. Regan Corke opened the scoring before Hayden Marshall added a second and Rory Ward struck either side of half-time. Late goals from Thomas Ngegba and Rhys Bartlett completed an emphatic Wells victory.
There were eight goals at Fisher, where the hosts recorded their first league win of the campaign with a 6-2 victory over Phoenix Sports. Alex Kozak and Euan Mutale both scored twice, with Temi Alaka and Jake Lovell also on target. Joe Denny and Taylor Fisher replied for Phoenix.
Bearsted continued their impressive start with a 3-0 victory over Faversham Strike Force. Ryan Sawyer gave the Bears a first-half lead before Matt Day struck twice after the break, his second coming from the penalty spot.
Corinthian also collected all three points with a 2-0 home win against Rusthall, thanks to goals from Asanti Amoah and Harrison Fryer.
Early leaders Larkfield & New Hythe suffered their first league defeat of the season as Hollands & Blair won 2-0, bringing Larkfield’s perfect start to an end. Reece Gillies with a quickfire double for Blair around the hour mark.
There was late drama at Beckenham Town. Tom Jones gave AFC Greenwich Borough a 38th-minute lead, but Marvin Herschel struck in the third minute of stoppage time to rescue a 1-1 draw for the Becks.
Kennington produced an even later fightback at Snodland Town. The visitors were reduced to ten men when Sam Brown was sent off after just 20 minutes and later found themselves 2-0 behind following goals from Kian Scott and Emmanuel Shoderu. Kai Garrett pulled one back before Joe Mant equalised in the 93rd minute, earning ten-man Kennington a dramatic 2-2 draw.
Wednesday Night
Petts Wood & Holmesdale climbed to second place in the early SCEFL Premier Division table with a 1-0 victory over Erith & Belvedere on Wednesday night.
After a goalless first half, Conor Evans made the breakthrough five minutes after the restart, with his 50th-minute strike proving enough to secure all three points.
The victory continues a strong start to the campaign for Petts Wood & Holmesdale and moves them up to second in the table.
For Erith & Belvedere it was a disappointing night, with the Deres remaining without a league victory and sitting second from bottom in the early standings.
