One in, One out – Coaching change at Welling Town

Welling Town have made a change to their management set-up ahead of the 2021/22 season.

Peter Gill steps away from his coaching role although will still potentially have some involvement behind the scenes in the coming seasons with the ongoing progression plans at the Club.

His initial impact at the start of pre-season 2020/21 was significant on the coaching field as well as bringing in exciting young prospects he had worked with at former clubs Leyton Orient and Barnet, but with the stop start nature of 2020/21, and an exciting new opportunity for him in his professional employment with Cambridge United, there simply isn’t enough time for him to fully commit to the new season ahead. Welling Town have thanked him for his efforts, advice, and wish him well with what will no doubt continue to be a very promising professional career.

In steps Ben Kotey, a UEFA A licensed coach, who is known to us from his previous stints at clubs including Bridon Ropes, Phoenix Sports Reserves, Holmesdale, Greenwich Borough and most recently Erith Town.

Ben joins Antony Gradley and Kevin Oakes in the Management set-up at the Premier Division Club.
