London Senior Trophy Final

Erith & Belvedere 4-1 Bridon Ropes (AET)

Erith & Belvedere have won the London Senior Trophy after an impressive late show at Champion Hill.

Bridon Ropes led the game 1-0 thanks to an early James Murphy strike and could really have been further ahead but for some good goalkeeping by Dan Teeley.

At around the hour mark we had a 25 minute delay due to a floodlight failure and it was Erith & Belvedere that came out stronger after the restart. With ten to play Kameiko Pope-Campbell headed home from close range to send the game into extra time.

In the added period the Deres were simply stunning. Pope-Campbell got a composed second before Ramell Lake hit a beauty a few minutes later. Chan Quan completed the 4-1 scoreline giving Erith & Belvedere the first bit of silverware of an impressive season.

SCEFL Premier Division

Bearsted 1-0 Crowborough Athletic
Corinthian 1-2 Sevenoaks Town
Deal Town 1-0 Cray Valley PM

SCEFL First Division

FC Elmstead 0-0 Forest Hill Park
Phoenix Sports Res. 1-1 Fisher

Bearsted 1-0 Crowborough Athletic – Defeat for Crowborough has seen their promotion hopes all but disappear as one more win for Whitstable will give the Crows no chance of finishing in the top two. The only goal of this game came just before the break through Ryan Croucher, who later found himself sent off after clashing with Jack Walder, who also made the walk. With the win Bearsted move up to 13th with one game remaining this Season.

Corinthian 1-2 Sevenoaks Town – Seveonoaks left it late but with their winner at the death they have confirmed promotion from this League and are now just one more victory or a Whitstable defeat away from winning the title. The visitors took the lead on 25 minutes thanks to Tom Ripley before Malik Ouani equalised just before the Half Time whistle was blown. With the game heading towards a draw Billy Bennett reacted quickest after a goalmouth scramble to earn Sevenoaks the win and those three vital points.

Deal Town 1-0 Cray Valley PM – An early Connor Coyne goal earned the points for The Hoops and moved them into 7th place in the table. A much changed Cray Valley side could not find their way back into the game, clearly missing the goal threat of Kevin Lisbie, and now hand the advantage over to others in the hunt for a Top 4 position.

FC Elmstead 0-0 Forest Hill Park – FC Elmstead ended their Season on a run of 6 clean sheets and a certain Top 9 finish in the First Division. There were no goals in this one but the point now means Forest Hill just need one win from their remaining two games to move out of the bottom three.

Phoenix Sports Res. 1-1 Fisher – Fisher could not quite finish their campaign on a long winning run but should not let that take the shine off what has been a very good Season for them. The visitors came into the match after winning the previous 7 and looked like getting another when Trey Small opened the scoring on 50 minutes. The hosts did want to taste defeat in their last home game though and levelled from the spot on the hour mark when Callum Flynn drove home. Phoenix remain 14th with one to play while Fisher finish in 3rd place.
