SC Thamesmead 0-4 Erith & Belvedere

Erith & Belvedere have gone to the top of the table for the first time this season with a 4-0 win away at SC Thamesmead. After Rob Curtis had got the opener Harry Harding hit a hat-trick to take his season tally to 37 League goals but more importantly keep his side in contention for the title and promotion. The pressure now heads back on to Bridon Ropes, Welling Town and Kennington, who all play on Good Friday.

Forest Hill Park 0-3 Fisher

On a busy Wednesday night in the Premier Division Croydon were the top scorers after a 5-0 win at Rochester United. Lauris Chin, Bryan Akongo, Andy Mott, Jamie McGeoghegan and Martin Sontan got the goals on a good night for the Trams.
Connor Coyne netted a double for Deal in a 2-0 win at Rusthall and Remell Davis and Hicham Akhazzan were on target for Sheppey at Beckenham Town.
Cray Valley were 3-2 winners at Erith Town while the only home side to earn 3 points were Tunbridge Wells, who beat Hollands & Blair with Greg Skinner and Perry Spackman getting the goals for the hosts.

In the First Division, Fisher beat Forest Hill 3-0 with Jamie Brown, Matheiu Ramsamy and Trey Small all scoring at the Ladywell Arena.

Here is how the SCEFL website reported on today’s events…

Champions, Phoenix Sports took an early 2-0 lead through a brace from Andy Constable in the opening 9 minutes at home to Beckenham Town. Becks came back when Justin Hemmings scored on 36 minutes and the half ended 2-1.
George King restored the Phoenix 2 goal lead 2 minutes into the second period but Damian Ramsamy pulled one back 11 minutes later. That was it scoring wise so Becks slip to 8th.

Ashford United got the show on the road when top scorer Stuart Zanone scored after 39 minutes at home against Crowborough Athletic. Zanone was on target again 2 minutes into the second half. Ashford have a 3 point lead over the Deres and both have 2 more games to play. They both have work to do yet. Meanwhile the Crows slip to 11th place.

Erith & Belvedere were 1-0 up after 23 minutes thanks to a Ben Wilson strike at home to Deal Town. There were no further goals in this game. See above for the Deres situation. Deal are 12th with 1 game left to play.

Tunbridge Wells went 1-0 up in the 23rd minute when Ian Parsons netted but Croydon came back when Lauris Chin scored in the 27th minute. Fray James then gave the Trams a 1-2 lead at half time when he scored right on the half hour mark. Chin added the Trams 3rd goal just after the hour then completed his hat-trick with 5 minutes left on the clock. The Wells slip to 5th place while the Trams are safely away from the bottom in 18th.

Greenwich Borough had a goal-less first half as did Fisher at Princes Park. Borough broke the deadlock when Paul Vines found the net 10 minutes after the break then Jamie Humphries added a second Borough goal 11 minutes after that. Kieron Campbell scored a consolation goal for the Fish inside the final minute. Borough go up to 4th while the Fish stay in 15th place.

Corinthian stay in 6th place despite losing at home to Canterbury City. Tom Peachey scored the only goal of the game with 9 minutes left to play. City are in 13th place.

Cray Valley PM stay in 7th place after winning at Rochester United. After a goal-less first half Paul Gross finally broke the stale-mate in the 64th minute.

Sevenoaks Town stay in 9th place even after winning at Holmesdale. Andy Walker hit a first half brace in the 25th and 29th minutes. The Dalers are now in 14th place.

Woodstock Sports move up 2 places to 10th after winning away at Lingfield. Bradley Webb scored a brace in the 4th and 14th minutes then Bryan Bell added a 3rd Sports goal for a 0-3 half time scoreline. Chris Shanny scored for the Lingers midway through the second half but a last minute strike from Bell secured the three points for Sports. Lingfield remain in 16th place.

Erith Town gave themselves a chance to get away from the bottom place they have called their own for so much of the season when they won convincingly at home to Lordswood today. Elyon-Marshall Katung opened the Dockers account with a 10th minute goal. Ramone McRae made it 2-0 on the stroke of half time then , after the break, Kerry Kedze added the Dockers 3rd goal just before the hour mark. Tom Wooldridge scored a consolation goal for the Lords in the final minute. Lordswood slip to 17th place.





P
