FC Elmstead have won the London Senior Trophy after beating Forest Hill Park 2-1 in the Final played at Barking FC.

FC Elmstead got off to a flying start, taking the lead in the first minute as Kyle Beckford slotted home a through ball from Ryan Penton.

Fabio Rossi’s men made their early dominance count and doubled their lead after 19 minutes courtesy of an own goal from Penton’s corner.

Forest Hill Park came back strong and certainly made a game of it in the second half.

Club captain Matt Faithorn struck the post with a 70th minute penalty before Flavio Jumo converted his spot-kick just 10 minutes later but FC Elmstead held on.

Despite having an official Manager and despite having to bring in a new team at short notice FC Elmstead have won the London Senior Trophy – Congratulations to all involved.
