Glebe 2022/23 Squad

Glebe have began to reveal the make up of their 2022/23 Premier Division squad.

The Premier Division side finished 3rd last year and now under new leadership are hoping to gain promotion to Step 4 this time around.

New boss Luke Rooney has wasted no time bringing in new faces, which includes a new First Team Coach in the shape of former Erith & Belvedere boss Del Oldfield.

Calum McGeehan arrives following a season that started at Hollands & Blair and ended with Erith & Belvedere.

The centre-back scored 8 times during the last campaign and will provide experience and strength in a key position for Glebe.

Jack Mahoney arrives at Foxbury after spending a few successful seasons at Corinthian.

The midfielder played 39 games for the Hoops in the Isthmian League last term and can count Chatham Town and Hythe Town as former sides.

Familiar with Foxbury from his time spent at Stansfeld, Harry Gamble has also made the move to Glebe.

An impressive stint at Welling Town earned him the First Division title and a move to Erith Town, where he helped them claim a top six finish last term.

Ross Craig was another added to the Glebe squad in a series of announcements made on May 19th, which included Greg Benbow and the prolific young Crowborough Athletic striker Elliott Duncan.

On 23rd May we were treated to a few more announcements.

Young attacking midfielder James Dyer makes the short trip from Erith & Belvedere, as does Freddie Cray – another former Stansfeld man.

Ollie Lankshear comes in after spending last season at K Sports. Expect him to provide the width when the new season gets underway.

Glebe Foxbury SCEFL

The 28th May saw a fourth wave of announcements.

Experienced centre-back Jack Bath comes in from Corinthian while left-sided, former Phoenix Sports and Erith & Belvedere man, Teddy Green also arrives at Foxbury.

Winger Stefan Cox becomes a Fox and Harry Maher and Jon Pilbeam join him. George Snelling completes another busy day of signings for Glebe.

It’s not just new faces through the door, as Luke Rooney has been quick to tie down some of the key members of the Glebe squad from last year.

Striker Jamie Philpot was in stunning form throughout the whole of 2021/22 and will go again while midfielder Tom Hever has also put pen to paper after impressing the new boss with his dynamic displays.

‘Next seasons squad is shaping up nicely‘ say Glebe, and they are not wrong.

With even more names to be added shortly to those mentioned above, the 2022/23 campaign could be another where Club records are broken and history is made.
