Glebe part ways with Manager Harry Hudson

Saturday 19th February

Glebe Chairman Rocky McMillan has revealed that First Team Manager Harry Hudson has left the Club.

Hudson, who has been in charge at Foxbury since the start of this season has been linked to the vacant Sevenoaks Town job, and it is that connection that has led to his dismissal at Glebe.

Rocky has today issued this Statement;

“Glebe FC First Team Manager Harry Hudson has been dismissed from his position at the club with immediate effect.

“Harry has been given the full backing of the club since his appointment. The Directors, Sponsors and myself have ensured that he got exactly the players  he requested. Despite being knocked out of 4 Cups, the budget has remained constant.

“The relationship between Chairman , Directors and the First Team Manager has to be one based on total trust.
I have found out that in a week, after being knocked out of the Kent Senior Trophy, when all thoughts should have been on gaining 3 points this afternoon and maintaining our promotion aims, that the Manager has APPLIED for the Sevenoaks FC job, had meetings and been offered the role. Also a 7 day notice has already been put in on one of our Senior Players.

“This is certainly not the outcome anybody at Glebe FC wanted. However given the Manager’s actions, the loyalty, trust and respect between the Club and the Manager  has been totally eradicated.  I know some in the game will be surprised that at  a time when we can still mathematically gain promotion we are sacking the Manager. Sometimes in life you need to make decisions based on morals, honesty and always what is right for the club . Glebe FC deserve to be treated better than they have been  in the last week.

“Therefore the decision to dismiss Mr Hudson has been taken.

Update – Sunday 20th February

Glebe have today revealed, via the below statement, the replacement Management Team for Sevenoaks-bound Harry Hudson

“I am delighted to announce that Dan Hogan & Adam Flemming, our existing First Team Coaches, have been appointed Interim First Team Managers. They have had a major input this season, to date , and deserve this opportunity. The response from the players has been magnificent and we eagerly anticipate tomorrow’s game at K Sports.

“I would also like to thank the many people who have contacted me regarding the permanent Manager position. At this moment in time, under the new Management Team, we are solely focused on winning as many of our remaining matches as possible.”
