Stansfeld Hit Four in Wednesday Night Win

Stansfeld climbed to sixth in the SCEFL First Division with an emphatic 4-0 victory at Halls AFC on Wednesday night.

The visitors made a blistering start, taking the lead inside the opening minute through Nana Kufour before Obinna Igwe converted a fifth-minute penalty to quickly double the advantage.

Halls were facing an uphill task and Stansfeld added a third after just 20 minutes, Louis Birch finding the net to give his side a commanding 3-0 lead at the break.

There was no way back for the hosts and Jack Calvert completed the scoring in the 56th minute as Stansfeld wrapped up a convincing away victory.

The result continues a good spell for Stansfeld, who have now recorded three successive league wins without conceding, following victories over FC Elmstead and Banstead Athletic. They move up to sixth place on 14 points, level with Staplehurst Monarchs.

For Halls, it was a difficult evening as they remain 15th with five points from seven matches.
