FA Vase Fourth Round Results

On an incredible day in the FA Vase, two of our SCEFL sides have made it into the Fifth Round draw while another put in an heroic effort – before making an unfortunate exit from the competition.

Stansfeld went to Raynes Park Vale as big underdogs, but once again our First Division promotion hopefuls upset the odds to return home victorious.

Ollie Milton gave Stansfeld a first half lead but they then lost their keeper to injury and had to play the second 45 minutes with an outfield player in goal.

The hosts took advantage and pulled one back yet Stansfeld were not to be denied and Macey Malyon’s winner put them through.

Tunbridge Wells are also in the last 16 after a penalty shoot out win at Bridgwater United.

Wells had to pull off an amazing recovery after finding themselves 2-0 down inside an hour.

Harry Hudson got the first and Robbie Bissett nabbed the winner, deep into injury time meaning the game would have to be decided by spot kicks.

Our SCEFL side held their nerve best and by a 5-3 scoreline make it through to Round Five.

It was the end of the road for Glebe though, who played for 85 minutes with 10 men at Hamworthy United after an early sending off for Daryl Coleman.

Despite their reduced numbers The Foxes were 2-0 up at the break, with Jamie Philpot finding the net both times.

The hosts then come back, drew level with 10 to play and got their winner in the 88th minute.

A good effort from Glebe but their FA Vase journey ends here.

For Stansfeld and Tunbridge Wells it is far from over and all connected to both Clubs will be eagerly awaiting the draw on Monday afternoon.
