FA Competitions – 2020/21 Season

The FA will today release the draws for the early rounds of the FA Cup and FA Vase.

FA Cup

All Premier Division sides have been accepted for the FA Cup plus Kennington, Stansfeld and Sutton Athletic from the First Division.

The draw will be released on 18th August.

The schedule for the qualifying rounds is as follows:-

Extra preliminary round: Tuesday 1 September 2020

Preliminary round: Saturday 12 September 2020

First round qualifying: Tuesday 22 September 2020

Second round qualifying: Saturday 3 October 2020

Third round qualifying: Tuesday 13 October 2020

Fourth round qualifying: Saturday 24 October 2020

FA Cup Prize Money

In order to assist in easing pressure on the football schedule, there will be no replays for the 2020-21 season in the qualifying competition. The schedule for the competition proper will be released in due course.

After two seasons of record levels of prize funds, the Emirates FA Cup prize fund has returned back in line with 2017-18 levels due to the financial impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

 






 

FA Vase

All 38 of our sides have been accepted for the FA Vase, which has a potential start date of 12th September.

The draw for this round will be released on 18th August.

Chatham Town, Corinthian, Deal Town and Glebe will start in the Second Round Proper, Welling Town will begin in the First Round Proper.

With regards to the 2019-20 Trophy and Vase campaign, which remain at the semi-final stage, the FA are currently exploring options with the relevant parties and are still seeking to complete the competitions, providing it is feasible to do so.
