Hollands & Blair have boosted their strikeforce by capturing two forwards familiar with bagging goals in the SCEFL Premier Division.
Boss Simon Halsey has brought in Matt Gething and Fjord Rogers as he looks to strengthen a squad that had a strong campaign last time, with Blair in 6th place when the season was brought to an early end.
Gething is a striker who played for Cuxton 91 before joining K Sports in 2017 and helped them win promotion from the SCEFL First Division. Almost ever present for The Paperboys since arriving Gething was among the top scorers in the League last season, netting an impressive 16 goals from 31 appearances a feat which clearly gained admirers from other clubs.
Rogers is also a forward, he played youth football for Bearsted and Faversham Town and was prolific for Lordswood Reserves before breaking into the first team at Martyn Grove in 2018-19. Fjord, along with brother Freeman, were amongst of a number of Lords players to follow boss Richard Styles to Tunbridge Wells in summer of 2019. He now makes the move to Star Meadow where he is sure to link up well with his fellow new recruit and grab the goals that will once again see Blair be able to compete at the top end of the table.
In further news from the Club Simon Halsey has been busy working through his squad and signing them on for the 2020/21 season.
Darren Cooper, Luke Harvey, Cameron Heffernan, Connor Heffernan, Harry Kingdon, skipper Callum McGeehan, Chris Saunders, Liam Stone and Sam Welch have already committed with more expected to be named in the coming days.
