Tooting Bec History
Tooting Bec were established in 2004 and began life in the Surrey South Eastern Combination, quickly progressing through the divisions. After a series of strong finishes, including promotion as Junior Division One runners-up, the club continued their rise through the pyramid and won Division One and the League Shield in 2009/10.
Further success followed in the Surrey Elite Intermediate League, where Bec were champions in 2017/18, earning promotion into the Combined Counties League system. In 2020/21 they were transferred into the Southern Counties East League Division One, where they have since become a consistent fixture at this level.
Recent seasons have seen mixed fortunes, including a play-off final appearance in 2022/23 and 9th and 14th place finishes in the following campaigns. Alongside league progress, the club also enjoyed cup success in 2024/25, lifting the London Senior Trophy after a win over Wimbledon Casuals in the final.
Tooting Bec’s ground history has also evolved over time, starting at Fishponds Lane before spells at Prince George’s Playing Fields and Tooting & Mitcham’s Imperial Fields, with the club now sharing a ground at Chipstead FC.
