AFC GREENWICH BOROUGH …. a brief history
AFC Greenwich Borough was formed to provide a clear football pathway across the Royal Borough of Greenwich, bringing together veterans’, men’s, women’s, youth and disability football under one inclusive club structure.
The club entered senior football for the first time in the Southern Counties East Football League First Division ahead of the 2025/26 season. Under the management of Reece Parara, Borough enjoyed a remarkable debut campaign, winning the league title at the first attempt to secure promotion to the Premier Division.
Following that historic success, the club enters another exciting new chapter in 2026/27. Tony Russell has taken over as first team manager as AFC Greenwich Borough prepares for its first season at Step 5, while also making its debut in both the FA Cup and FA Vase.
As one of the newest clubs in the National League System, AFC Greenwich Borough continues to build for the future with strong community values and ambitions to establish itself at the highest level possible.
