Promotion / Relegation Picture – 2025/26
With just over one week to go here is a look at the current Promotion and Relegation picture for both the Premier and First Divisions.
PREMIER DIVISION
Congratulations to Whitstable Town, who have won the SCEFL Premier Division title and will be promoted to Step 4.
Commiserations to Hythe Town and Stansfeld, who will finish in the bottom two and be relegated to Step 6.
The Play-Off picture is where things remain interesting. Positions 2 to 5 will take their place in the play off with 2 v 5 and 3 v 4 on Tuesday 28th April. The final will then be played on Monday 4th May at the home of the highest placed team.
A quick look at the table shows that Fisher are on course for a second placed finish and a home passage through the play-offs. It also looks like the top five may now be beyond Sutton Athletic, Phoenix Sports and probably Hollands & Blair too – although all three will be keen to finish strong just in case Rusthall and Punjab United slip up. Larkfield & New Hythe and Bearsted complete the line-up of play-off contenders.

FIRST DIVISION
Either SE Dons or AFC Greenwich Borough will win the First Division title and be promoted to Step 5. The other team will finish second and have the home advantage throughout the play-offs. Rochester United will likely finish third with Lordswood and probably Croydon filling the other play-off positions. Greenways look to have just missed out.

The teams finishing in the bottom three of the First Division table are all liable for relegation. Chessington & Hook and Welling Town are confirmed to finish in the bottom two while there are several teams still in danger of finishing third-bottom.
Lydd Town, Lewisham Borough, Tooting Bec, Banstead Athletic and Bridon Ropes are the teams in danger and due to Lydd’s goal difference the other teams will be aiming to get to the safety mark of 36 points.
