There may have been a lack of goals but their was no lack of action and drama from today’s 9 Premier Division games. Standout perfomances came from Erith Town and Sheppey United while Beckenham Town won again to remain top.
Chatham Town remain second but are now further behind the leaders after Erith Town went away from the Bauvill Stadium with all 3 points. Michael Power and Danny Gannon were on target for the Dockers who now sit in 9th place after 3 consecutive wins.
A super six minutes saw Sheppey United score 3 times in a 4-1 win at Tunbridge Wells. With the scores level the hour mark signalled a push from the Ites that saw Dan Bradshaw score twice a Rob Denness getting the other in 360 frantic seconds. That win was a 5th in a row for Sheppey who stay on the coat-tails of the top 3.
Beckenham Town find themselves 9 points clear after claiming a late win over Welling Town. Goals in the final 17 minutes from Steve Townsend and Stefan Cox gave Becks the win that gives them breathing space at the top.
There was just the one goal and it came from the spot as Corinthian came away from Star Meadow as victors over Hollands & Blair. Jack Mahoney’s 35th minute strike gave the 3rd placed Hoops a 13th win from the last 14 games.
Punjab United performed a smash and grab raid on Glebe as they went to Foxbury and returned with the points. A super double from Will Johnson-Cole earned the win with the hosts replying late on through Jamie Philpot.
K Sports ended a short losing run with a 2-1 win over Canterbury City while Deal Town won by the same margin at home to AFC Croydon. In front of a big crowd at St Pauls Sports Ground Fisher scored a last minute leveller at home to Erith & Belvedere while at the Mayplace Ground Greenwich Borough v Lordswood ended goalless.
