Premier Division

Season 2019-20 – Sheppey United

The season may have come to an sudden end and all results expunged but games did take place and plenty of teams had a year to remember. Here we look back at some of the sides that had an impressive Premier Division campaign.

Sheppey United

Sheppey United sat in fourth position in the table just 5 points off the team at the top and 3 away from the side in the promotion earning place when the season came to an early finish. With 9 games to go they were one of the 5 contenders that would have provided us with an exciting finish to what had been a thrilling campaign.

Summary

The season came to a halt far too early for Sheppey United as they were one of the sides in the promotion hunt and with 9 games to go had a reasonable chance of achieving that top 2 finish. They were unbeaten in 2020 and for a short time even hit the summit of the Premier Division table. A County Cup Final was also around the corner for the Ites giving their huge following the chance to see their side go for glory again in a showpiece event when they were to line up opposite Corinthian in the Kent Senior Trophy.
This was certainly an excellent year for the Ites and they should be proud of how they have performed over the past 8 months.
