Season 2019-20 – Corinthian
The season may have come to an sudden end and all results expunged but games did take place and plenty of teams had a year to remember. Here we look back at some of the sides that had an impressive Premier Division campaign.
Corinthian
Corinthian were sitting in second place in the table just 2 points behind the leaders and with a game in hand at the time of the early finish of the season. Successful Cup runs did not seem to distract the Hoops from their day job and with just 10 games to go they were well placed to achieve promotion to the Isthmian South East Division as either Champions or runners-up.
Corinthian averaged 2.23 points per game this campaign which, had it continued, would have see them pick up 80 points in total. That would have see them finish in the top 2 for sure and even if they were just denied the title that PPG average is good enough to seal automatic promotion for being one of the top runners-up in the country.

Corinthian only failed to score twice in the League. Firstly in the defeat to Canterbury City, then in a 0-0 draw at Sheppey United.
20 players scored for Corinthian this campaign with Luke Tanner hitting the net the most with 13 League goals and a further 6 in the Cups.

Summary
The season came to a halt far too early for Corinthian as every day they were getting closer to sealing promotion to the Division above plus had a County Cup Final to look forward to. However this campaign will also be remembered for their outstanding FA Vase run which saw them book a double header with Hebburn Town in the last 4.
At time of writing we are unsure whether their Cup Final or Vase semi will ever take place, but there is no doubting that this season has been the best one in the Hoops history and we can only hope that they are to see the rewards for their hard work throughout the year with a visit to Wembley in the near future.
