Season 2019-20 – Chatham Town
The season may have come to an sudden end and all results expunged but games did take place and plenty of teams had a year to remember. Here we look back at some of the sides that had an impressive Premier Division campaign.

Chatham Town sat in third position in the table just 2 points off a promotion place and 4 away from the leaders when the season was brought to an abrupt end. With 8 games to go, and a match against Beckenham Town still to play, they had a decent chance of achieving their aims but they, like us, were denied a natural ending to the season due to the disaster occuring across the nation and worldwide.
Chatham averaged 2 points per game this campaign which, had it continued, would have seen them pick up around 72 points in total after the scheduled 36 games. That PPG score was the 4th best in the Division so would have needed improving over the final 8 games if they were to achieve a promotion place.

Summary
The season came to a halt far too early for Chatham Town as they were one of the sides in the promotion hunt and with 8 games to go had a decent chance of achieving that top 2 finish. A double headed semi-final against Kennington was also around the corner but unfortunately the holders have been denied the chance to defend their own trophy.
However, it has been a great year for the club, on and off the field, and all involved must be proud of the part they played and should look forward to the following season with some excitement.
