With the FA Vase taking centre stage we had just 3 Premier Division games today but they included a match for the league leaders and a first run out for a new management team.
Erith & Belvedere had won all 11 of their games so far this season prior to the visit of Tunbridge Wells to Park View Road but that impressive run is now over, and over in style with the visitors coming away with a 5-1 win.
Danny Lear had given the ‘Deres’ an early lead but then Trevor McCreadie scored 4, Danny Walder grabbed another and a surprise 3 points went the way of the Wells.
Marcel Nimani’s debut in the Whitstable Town dugout was a good one with his side winning 2-o away at Stansfeld.
Both goals came in the first half with new signings Dean Grant and Victor Aiyelabola each finding the net.
Lordswood were the other winners today after they came out best in a 5-goal thriller with Punjab United.
Kamieko Pope-Campbell and Junior Baker gave the hosts a 2-goal lead at Martyn Grove before Punjab responded through Paul Vines and Noah Hamelberg.
Richard Pingling got the decider in the 73rd minute and with the 3 points Lordswood go 10th.
