Owners took on tenants on a pitch adjacent to their Foxbury ground and it was Stansfeld that came out on top in gritty battle in Chislehurst.
Glebe were on the attack from the start with the main route to likely success coming from the left-foot of new recruit Matt Parsons. Time and time again they failed to get any end product on their dominance though and it would be Stansfeld that were to hit the net first following a free-kick midway through the first half.
That lead was doubled soon after thanks to a fine breakaway move and finish meaning debutant Nick Blue had been beaten twice in the first half for his new side.
Stansfeld gained confidence and could have even stretched their advantage but for some wasteful finishing just before the break.
The second half continued in similar style with Glebe having plenty of the ball without really getting a clear chance on goal.
On the hour mark they did come close but were denied by keeper Lewis Collier who saved well from a Stacy Long free-kick.
With 10 to play Glebe did get on the scoresheet with a close range finish after some good play by Parsons.
Stansfeld held on through to the end though and should be proud of their dogged display.
Next-up for Glebe is a home game with Potters Bar on Saturday while Stansfeld go to Corinthian next Tuesday night.
