Premier Division Results – Wednesday 21st August
Tunbridge Wells kept their winning run going by beating Welling Town and heading to the top of the table. With the game streamed live many were able to see the action unfold and after a cagey and even First Half Wells were able to find a way to win the game in the second 45 minutes.
Euan Sahadow scored the opener, firing home a cross / shot from the corner of the area in the 55th minute. Substitute Josh Frogatt doubled that lead with a deflected affort soon after while Adam O’Neill set up a tense finish when he completed a smart move with 20 minutes to play.
The visitors saw the game out though and now top the table for the first time in…… ages.
Canterbury City gave Chatham Town their first League defeat of the season and prevented them from returning to the top of the table. Matt Day got the only goal of the game in the 78th minute as City moved to 8th place in the table.
Glebe turned League form on it’s head to come from behind and beat Beckenham Town 3-1. Without a point before the game the visitors fell behind to a Shameek Farrell strike on 27 minutes before Matt Parsons levelled just before the break. Late in the game Scott Kinch grabbed his second of the season and Jack Harris sealed the deal in the dying moments.
