Chatham Town remain at the top after a full day of fixtures in the Premier Division, yet they are only there on goal difference after dropping points for the first time this season. Erith & Belvedere were the visitors to the Bauvill Stadium and amazingly the Deres completed their 5th 1-1 draw in a row after Baba Adeniran cancelled out Josh Beadles first half strike for the Chats.
Corinthian are now in second place and still unbeaten in the League after a 3-1 home win over Sheppey United. Jack Healey opened the scoring for the Hoops before Dan Bradshaw quickly levelled from the spot. In the second half goals from Jack Bath and Luke Tanner ensured that the points stayed in Longfield.
Beckenham Town kept up their 100% record but needed a late goal against K Sports to keep it that way. Harvey Brand was the star, netting early then again in the 87th minute after Matt Gething had equalised for the hosts.
Over 200 supporters were there to witness another Tunbridge Wells win as they came from behind to send Fisher away from the Royal Town empty handed. Rob Brown opened the scoring with a deflected free kick in the 20th minute for the Fish before Wells began their comeback in the second half. Jason Thompson drew his side level just after the break with James Huggins earning the win although the hosts did have Tommy Taylor to thank for a late penalty save as Tunbridge Wells earned their second win from their two league games so far.
Erith Town and Lordswood shared the spoils in a 6-goal classic, with the Dockers needing 2 late goals to earn a fortunate point. Tyler Anderson-Parr got the scoring underway in the 36th minute with Daniel Pepple doubling the Lordswood lead soon after. Henry Dasofunjo pulled one back on the hour mark before Pepple restored the two-goal advantage with 15 minutes to play. In the dying stages of the game Michael Power netted from the spot then Jack Clark scored in injury time to hand Erith Town the unlikely point.
Canterbury City are still looking for their first league win after a 2-1 defeat against AFC Croydon at the Mayfield Stadium. Early goals from Umara Alpha and Jordan Knight were good enough to earn the points for the Rams despite Brett Ince’s effort for City on the hour mark.
Welling Town won for the first time at Step 5 as they came from behind to beat Bearsted 3-1 in Otham. Adam O’Neill equalised Ryan Croucher’s opener before Elyon Marshall-Katung and Joel Thompson secured the points for the Boots as they shot up to 9th place in the table.
Glebe are still searching for their first points after Deal Town left Foxbury as 2-0 winners. Ben Chapman scored either side of the break to give the Hoops a precious three points.
Greenwich Borough prop up the table after returning from Star Meadow empty handed. Sam Welch, Byron Walker and Harry Goodger were all on target as Hollands & Blair claimed a comfortable 3-0 win.
Two goals just before half time were enough for Crowborough Athletic to see off Punjab United at the Manak Stadium. Ade Adeyemo got the brace as the Crows returned to Sussex with maximum points.
