Player registration

Need help? contact Doug Francis via registration@scefl.com or get direct help from The FA via playerregistrations@thefa.com

SCEFL League Rules already allow for the new player registration system.

6.1.1 A Player is one who has:
(i) signed a registration form supplied by the Competition (such signature to be witnessed by a second person) and where:-

• the form has been completed and signed by an Officer of the Club;
• has been approved and registered by the Competition; and
• a registration number has been allotted; or

(ii) registered through WGS.

A Player will only be eligible to play in a match organised by the Competition if his registration form; transfer form, or loan transfer form, has been received by the Competition, or the necessary information has been submitted via WGS, not less than four hours before the scheduled kick-off of the match in which the player is required to play and found to be in order, and so registered.

It has been agreed by the SCEFL Management Committee that a mixture of registration forms and online registration via WGS will be adopted for the coming season.
Clubs will be required to retain the original signed registration form and keep it available for inspection by the Competition/FA and submit a scanned electronic copy to the League before any registration via WGS will be approved.

First Things First

Get rid of people no longer associated with your club:

Log in to WGS and click on the appropriate tab at the top of the page (either Club Secretary or Club Player Registration Officer).
Click on the ‘Player Registration’ icon in the left hand column.
Check the box beside all people who are no longer associated with your club. Click on the red ‘detach’ box at the top of the page.
Confirm the action in the box that follows.
It is advisable to do this a couple at a time rather than detaching loads all at once.
People detached will remain in the ‘Detached Players’ list for 14 days and can be re-instated in that time by opening the list and clicking the appropriate box.

Clean up your data

Get rid of multiple entries for the same player:

Log in to WGS and click on the appropriate tab at the top of the page (either Club Secretary or Club Player Registration Officer).
Click on the Data Cleansing icon in the left hand column. It may take a while for the system to load but when it has click on ‘start’.
You then have 3 choices. Click on ‘Suggested Matches’.
You now see players associated with your club on Full Time on the left and suggested matches on WGS on the right.
If the pair is a good match then click the ‘match’ box. If not move on to the next name and come back later to go further with this player.
You may find the same player has several entries. Choose only one suggested match. Do not check more that one instance of any one player.
When you click the ‘Match’ box you will have the option of keeping the Full Time data or the WGS data. Choose the most appropriate version.
