SCEFL Premier Division  – 2016

AFC Croydon Athletic 5 – 1 Holmesdale
Beckenham Town 1 – 1 Crowborough Athletic
Canterbury City 1 – 2 Lordswood
Croydon 2 – 2 Greenwich Borough
Fisher 0 – 3 Tunbridge Wells
Rochester United 1 – 2 Cray Valley PM

AFC Croydon were the biggest winners of the day with a 5-1 success at home to Holmesdale in front of 70 lucky spectators.
Raheem Sterling-Parker scored a double for the Rams with Louis Blake, Danny Cumber and Haydn McLean- Hayles also netting against a Dale side that were heading for relegation.

Greenwich Borough would go on to win the title but they only took a point today at struggling Croydon. Borough had Mo Eisa and Michael Power up front but it was Ryan Dolby and Ryan Johnson that got their goals in the first half at Croydon’s Sports Arena. The hosts then came back in the second 45 scoring through Lauris Chin and Andy Mott to take an unlikely point.

The points were also shared between Beckenham Town and Crowborough Athletic as they played out a 1-1 draw at Eden Park Avenue.
The prolific Josh Biddlecombe cancelled out Jamie Turner’s opener for a Crows side that would finish the season in 7th place.

cray valley pm

At Rede Court Road, Marcus Elliott put Cray Valley PM ahead at Rochester United before Steve Rothery levelled it up on the hour. Deep into added time, Corey Holder headed a late winner earning the in-form Millers all 3 points.

Daniel Smith scored the winner as Lordswood won 2-1 in a feisty clash at Canterbury City.
The visitors had taken an early lead via a Richard Hamill penalty before Ryan Philpott levelled before the break. Smith then popped up with the winner before each side had a man sent off with ten to play. The win would help Lordswood to a 4th placed finish.

Basit Ajala, Chris Seenan and Dane Moore were all on the scoresheet as Tunbridge Wells won 3-0 at Fisher. Each side would finish in the bottom half this season but for today at least the Wells fans had something to smile about.
